2014 BMW 2 Series For Sale

Overview of 2014 BMW 2 Series

Smaller, more affordable cars are becoming bountiful in the entry-level luxury vehicle segment. The all-new 2014 BMW 2 Series epitomizes this less-is-more trend, as it's the smallest coupe in BMW's 2014 lineup. Although saying that the 2 Series is affordable is a stretch, buyers that look for an authentic BMW driving experience in a relatively less expensive package will very much find that this compact rear-wheel-drive coupe gives them that and then some. A lot of the 2 Series' popularity has to do with its packaging. It's a few inches wider and longer than the 1 Series coupe it has come to replace, which in turn it translates to little but useful gains in cabin and hauling trunk space. The BMW 2 Series cabin is every bit as enticing as the larger 4 Series, due to a functional, attractive design and rich-quality materials. With BMW’s standard iDrive electronics interface, it offers considerable functionality once you have taken the time to learn it. If there is a down side, it would be the small backseat where leg and head-room are limited, making this vehicle not the top choice for carpooling. The Series was initially offered in two rims. The base 228i coupe comes with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that balances performance and fuel economy that easily satisfies most buyers. Now, if you're looking for more of a high-performance coupe, the M235i is a more enticing proposition with its 320-horsepower turbocharged six-cylinder. The M235i includes some performance hardware from BMW's Motorsport division cars, at a much more accessible price than something like the upcoming M4. A big key factor to its best-of-both-worlds personality is the adaptive suspension damping, it will handle well enough to entertain you on the weekend, while it remains comfortable and easy to drive during the week. We're very pleased to see BMW offer this feature as an option on the 228i. In general, the 2014 BMW 2 Series is a strongly likable car. It looks and feels like an upgrade over the 1 Series. It accomplishes so in terms of styling, interior space and overall quality. We are also glad it stacks up well with other entry-level luxury cars. Some of the rivals in this segment are the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class and the Audi A3 and S3 that are coming out as early 2015 year models. Both competitors have four doors, but other than this difference, they provide very similar combos of fuel economy, premium amenities and performance. Those buyers on a tighter belt will find that the 2014 Acura ILX sedan provides lots of standard features as well as a very comfortable ride. Also worth a look, is the Infiniti Q60, given its strong V6 engine and great handling If you're looking for a sporty entry-luxury coupe that offers a very sporty and entertaining drive that looks the part as well, be sure to check out the BMW 2 Series.
